Introduction

We are currently hiring a Project Engineer for our mining client in Regina. You will be responsible supporting the Technical Services and Project teams with expertise in design and execution of underground mining development and construction projects. The successful candidate will be required to travel from time-to-time to the various corporate offices and project sites. This is a full-time permanent opportunity.

What are you going to do 

  • Lead or support the design, planning, and execution of underground development, construction, and infrastructure projects
  • Coordinate technical activities between project sites and corporate offices, ensuring alignment on design and execution plans
  • Prepare engineering designs, drawings, schedules, and calculations using relevant software platforms
  • Conduct technical analyses and provide field engineering support to ensure safe and efficient implementation of designs
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including reports, procedures, schedules, and cost forecasts
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and development initiatives
  • Support proposal development and client communications by contributing technical input and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, engineering codes, and project requirements
  • Participate in site inspections, audits, and troubleshooting efforts during project execution

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in mining, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in underground mining or tunneling projects
  • Registered (or eligible) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng./PE) in Canada or the U.S.
  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Experience with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project) and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and adapt to both office and field environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various project sites as required
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
