Introduction

We are recruiting a Piping Stress Engineer to join one of our leading multinational clients and their expanding team. This position is based in Bangalore and offers an excellent opportunity for experienced proposal management professionals in the Conventional Energy sector.

What are you going to do 

Position: Piping Stress Engineer.

Contract: On Permanent Role.

  • Shall be able to perform all work of Stress engineer.
  • Shall assign work to each stress engineer based on criticality of work and experience of stress engineer.
  • Shall check final stress documentation before official issue.
  • Shall issue project specific Check List, if required, for stress team and ensure its usage by Stress engineers.
  • Shall coordinate with Mechanical group for verification of excessive loads on nozzles & furnish loads on civil information drawings in consultation with AE / LAE.
  • Shall co-ordinate with process group for preparation of different operational cases & shall co-ordinate for any of the process data required for the analysis of the lines in consultation with AE / LAE.
  • Shall maintain status of stress work progress every week.
  • Shall prepare the datasheets for Expansion bellows/ Spring supports and other special support items for Procurement.
  • Vendor drawing review of Expansion bellows/ Spring supports and other special support items.
  • Knowledge of effect of acceleration due to various wave and wind conditions,
  • effect of structural deflection due to module movements, fatigue analysis of pipes connected between two modules, effect of displacements due to hull deflection on piping, effect of onsite and transit to field (towing) acceleration and effect of structural deflections due to acceleration in onsite.
  • Preparation of support and loading details for Support team.
  • Preparation of stress Specification & critical line list and other deliverables.
  • Stress analysis of GRE pipe lines. & cryogenic temperature piping.
  • Stress analysis of Preparation of loading details for pipe rack, supports marking.
  • Preparation of detailed stress analysis report for client approval.
  • Shall able to perform stress analysis of pipe lines connected to air cooler, condenser, compressor / turbine and pumps.
  • Shall Perform blast analysis, perform survival / damage analysis / VIV analysis and Simulate green water condition.
  • Shall familiar with SLWR piping & hub flanges
  • Shall familiar flange leakage as per API 6AF / Peq / NC-3658.3 / ASME SEC VIII
  • Calculation HOG and SAG displacement from HULL deflection report.
