Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineering Specialist Instrumentation to join our client's team, supporting a significant LNG project. Based in Milan and starting in July 2026, this position is initially residential, with potential for a rotational assignment in Mozambique in the future.
What are you going to do
- Instrumentation Knowledge: Exceptional understanding of instrumentation equipment, systems integration, and maintenance methods.
- Safety Standards Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of international safety standards including ATEX and IECEx.
- Codes and Standards: Proficient with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, EN, NEMA MG1 & MG2, and ISO for instrumentation machinery and environments.
- Maintenance Systems: Skilled in maintenance SAP systems (like CMMS).
- Technical Tools: Strong knowledge of computer applications and methodologies.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Field Experience: Extensive experience in LNG-producing plants and working with critical equipment like compressors, turbines, and control systems.
Essential skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Bachelor of higher education in Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years specific maintenance experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry
- Minimum 7 years in LNG producing plants, not LNG terminals
- Experience of working with equipment such as Centrifugal compressors control and anti-surge systems, Turbines control and protection, Natural gas processing control and instrumentation, Analytical instruments, DCS, PLC utilization requirements, Loading arms instruments, FGS maintenance practice
