Introduction

We are looking to recruit a Logistics Supervisor with strong marine operations experience to support offshore logistics and vessel scheduling activities in South Gippsland.

This role is logistics-led but marine-critical. You will be responsible for coordinating offshore logistics planning and vessel schedules, working across onshore and offshore teams to ensure operations are executed safely, efficiently in line with regulatory requirements.

What are you going to do

Reporting to the Supply Chain Superintendent, the Logistics Supervisor acts as the central coordination point between offshore assets, shore base operations, marine service providers and vessel masters. You will translate operational priorities into executable vessel schedules, manage cargo and bulk movements, and maintain high standards of data integrity, governance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead offshore logistics planning and vessel scheduling activities with a strong marine operational lens
  • Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, berthing and loading activities with shore base and marine service providers
  • Interface with Offshore Installation Managers (OIMs), planners and supervisors to capture logistics requirements and timing inputs
  • Plan and optimise bulk cargo and bunkering requirements (diesel, methanol, glycol and other bulk/deck cargo)
  • Work closely with vessel masters to manage schedule changes driven by weather, operational or technical constraints
  • Distribute approved schedules and required documentation to all relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in daily operational and logistics coordination calls
  • Reconcile marine fuel documentation in line with marine fuel management best practice and audit requirements
  • Champion the effective use of logistics systems (including Kabal), ensuring accurate and timely data entry
  • Compile monthly shore base lift, tonnage and logistics performance reports
  • Support audit preparation, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide operational support outside normal business hours when required

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Demonstrated experience in marine operations is essential, including exposure to offshore vessel movements, marine logistics or shore base operations
  • Proven background in offshore logistics, supply chain or operational planning roles
  • Strong understanding of marine safety, compliance and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience coordinating bulk cargo, bunkering and deck cargo operations
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment
  • High level of organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong digital capability, including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience with logistics systems such as Kabal (or similar) and confidence supporting system users
  • Seagoing experience on offshore vessels is advantageous but not mandatory
