What are you going to do
- Assume responsibility and provide leadership representing the department for all matters related to architectural input into the design process for Project(s) and Programme Projects including roads, bridges, drainage systems, utilities, and buildings
- Ensure and review design compliance related to Projects
- Review and recommend upon various designs throughout the lifetime of a project
- Provide technical expertise and consultation (constructability) in the design, contract development/bidding, and construction phases of projects
- Apply international design standards across various projects
- For any in-house design projects create design and prepare drawings, plans, specifications, landscaping, and interior work including architectural renderings, materials to be used, perspectives and colour studies in compliance with architectural standards, codes, and regulations
- Review developed scale drawings to ensure that it is in line with overall project vision.
- Identify critical issues and provides suggestions to overcoming these / or recommend alternative.
- Interfaces regularly and lead external & internal coordination to provide required throughout the design and construction phases.
- Performance of other related duties as per management instructions
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
- BSc/BEng degree in related Engineering field from a recognized university.
- Master's degree in a relevant field is highly desirable
- Professional qualification RIBA or equivalent is Highly desirable.
- 18 years of demonstrable relevant experience in Architectural field projects, with satisfactory experience in all related disciplines.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience as Lead Architect
- Proven Knowledge of design codes and construction practices related to buildings projects
- Proven Experience in design of infrastructure and building projects
