Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and associated software to produce, display, and analyze geographic information.
Use GIS systems to edit, collect, and process geographic data.
Support and manage GIS Database & GIS Portal based on Design department demands.
Develop and maintain databases, reports, and mapping.
Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes.
Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components.
Work under supervision of a Dept. manager or senior-level team members.
Plan and coordinate GIS activities to meet outlined goals.
Manage the creation of maps or visualization output focused on infrastructure projects.
Develop quality control standards for Roads Design Database.
Analyze and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
Perform data capture and analysis for GIS product.
Performs troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to GIS data, software and hardware.
Manage geospatial database and develop maps and Satellite Images.
Maintain geospatial documentation for reference purposes.
Assist in preparation of Design Master Plan.
Work in compliance with GIS standards and quality policies.
Provide technical guidance to GIS users when needed.
Performs installation and upgrade of GIS Portal application, trains users, provides technical support, and maintains application security.
Excellent quantitative and presentation skills, using software such as MS Excel and MS Power Point to organize Map data, analyze data, and present Maps & reports.
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
BSc / BEng or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized university.
Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable relevant experience in design & construction of infrastructure projects, experience in traffic engineering studies and analysis, with satisfactory exposure to all related disciplines with satisfactory experience in all related disciplines.
Experience in highway design, work zone traffic management, ITS and allied fields.
A strong understanding of transport planning principles and highway design concepts.
