What are you going to do

Join a dynamic team of Geospatial Specialists driving innovation and operational excellence across one of Australia's leading Oil & Gas companies. As a Geospatial Analyst, you will play a key role in managing, analysing, and visualising geospatial data to support strategic and operational decisions across the business

  • Source, integrate, and maintain geospatial data from multiple internal and external sources within enterprise GIS systems.
  • Promote and enable the use of geospatial information and analysis techniques across the business.
  • Provide expert advice to colleagues, partners, and customers on geospatial data management, automation, and application development.
  • Lead and contribute to geospatial and integrated project scopes - managing requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Support and improve web mapping services (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server), ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
  • Deliver geospatial data, workflows, and map products supporting HSSE-critical activities, including emergency response and incident management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Development, Asset Planning, Environment, Cultural Heritage, Operations) to enhance the integrated GIS environment.
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies, automation, and data delivery systems in line with the company's Geospatial Strategy.

Essential skills and knowledge 

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Geomatics, Geospatial Science, or related Geoscience discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in Geomatics or Geospatial roles, ideally within large or complex organisations.
  • Proficiency in ESRI's ArcGIS suite, Microsoft SQL, Safe FME, and Global Mapper.
  • Experience with Python scripting and automation (highly regarded).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influence skills, with the ability to deliver integrated project outcomes.
  • Proven ability to self-manage, multitask, and deliver on multiple workstreams and priorities.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Commitment to HSSE leadership and continuous improvement in safety outcomes
