Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong commercial background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of expertise in cost estimation, commercial proposals, and cost control within the shipbuilding, offshore fabrication, and oil & gas industries. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects through accurate budgeting and pricing strategies.

What are you going to do

The Estimator will be responsible for handling core estimation and commercial tasks, including preparing quotations and proposals, managing project budgets, handling variation orders, reviewing subcontractor/vendor quotes, and coordinating with clients and internal departments. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Essential skills and knowledge

List of Requirements:- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost estimation and commercial roles in mining, shipbuilding, offshore fabrication, or oil & gas projects
- Proven track record of preparing detailed quotations and technical proposals- Strong understanding of project budgeting and cost control
- Experience in managing variation orders and commercial changes- Ability to review and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotations
- Excellent communication and coordination skills- Proficiency in billing, invoicing, and project documentation
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
