Schedule: 5/2 with weekend call-out as needed
What are you going to do
The Environmental / Regulatory Technician II provides field support to ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations across oil and gas operations. This role performs inspections, monitoring, and maintenance activities using a variety of environmental assessment tools. The technician will work in operational areas with hazardous materials and be responsible for accurate documentation and reporting in support of regulatory and environmental programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regulatory inspections in compliance with state and federal requirements * Execute methane leak detection and reporting using OGI and LDAR methodologies
* Operate, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on multimedia environmental monitoring equipment including: - Stack monitoring equipment
- PID/FID analyzers - Other air, water, and solid media testing devices
* Maintain proper inventory and spares of environmental monitoring equipment * Record all inspection results, compliance findings, and equipment maintenance activities
* Support environmental team with documentation needed for audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory submissions * Assist with field work around active operations including pulling units and hazardous materials
* Participate in weekend call-out rotation as required
Essential skills and knowledge
* Experience in oil and gas environmental compliance and field monitoring * OGI certification required or strong working knowledge with willingness to obtain
* Practical experience with LDAR programs and methane inspections * Ability to work safely in hazardous environments and remote field sites
