Introduction

  • Provides electrical engineering expertise consistent with Specialist level competency to ensure contribution to department objectives in meeting Company strategy.
  • Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in area of expertise.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide advanced electrical engineering support to projects, operations and maintenance and contribute to the division strategy and goals.
  • Execute advanced/expert electrical engineering activities in line with long term upgrade plans for proactive, optimal and cost-effective obsolescence management of critical electrical equipment.
  • Actively lead and support the definition and implementation of integrity program for electrical equipment to achieve high standards of safety, reliability and availability.
  • Actively lead and support the definition and documentation of best practices within the area of electrical engineering and executing performance improvement initiatives.
  • Actively lead and support risk assessment (SHE and Business) and root cause analysis initiative.
  • Ensure effective completion of tasks and activities, meeting the section and division KPIs.
  • Lead, support and supervise activities undertaken by contractors, consultants and service providers.
  • Coach less experienced engineers with developing as professionals and in implementing the company integrity and reliability systems.
  • Develop and support development of training programs to keep abreast of new technologies and mentor less experienced engineers to develop their capabilities.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 8 years’ engineering experience in an oil and gas environment.
  • Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
  • Computer literate, and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.
  • Specialist Electrical Engineer level of competence as per Electrical Engineering Technical Competencies.
