Introduction

We are currently seeking an experienced E&I Drafter to join a major tier-one mining project in Western Australia. This is a key opportunity to be part of a high-performing team delivering world-class operations and sustaining capital projects within a leading mining business.

What are you going to do

As the E&I Drafter, you will provide dedicated drafting support as projects transition into construction, ensuring backdrafting, red-line mark-ups, and as-built documentation are completed accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide drafting support on Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) deliverables to the Project Engineering Team.
  • Assist with Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) drafting as required during peak workloads.
  • Work full-time on-site, collaborating closely with engineering, maintenance, and construction teams.
  • Deliver timely IFC drawings, redline revisions, and as-built updates to support PMR and sustaining capital projects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date site blueprints to support maintenance and operational reliability.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Drafting / E&I Drafting.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, EPLAN, or equivalent).
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Standards including AS/NZS 3000, AS 1102, and AS 3008.
  • Familiarity with Document Control Systems such as M-Files.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work autonomously on-site.
  • You must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role
