What are you going to do 

  • Manage daily underground construction activities across multiple active work zones
  • Maintain safety as the highest priority while ensuring productivity and compliance targets are met
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, and subcontractor teams to maintain schedules and adapt to site changes
  • Oversee quality assurance, environmental compliance, and risk mitigation measures
  • Provide clear leadership and direction to site teams across civil, services, and tunnelling disciplines
  • Monitor cost performance and assist in ensuring works are delivered within budget and program constraints
  • Keep communication flowing between internal teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and key stakeholders

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years in large scale civil construction, with strong exposure to underground or tunnelling projects
  • At least 7 years in a senior site based leadership role
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing contractors
  • Strong understanding of project controls, contract management, and site logistics
  • Confident communicator with solid reporting and documentation skills
  • Committed to maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and environmental compliance
