Introduction

We are currently hiring a Compliance Specialist for our client located in Mississauga, ON. Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on innovation and commercializing medicines across multilpe therapeutic areas. The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for engaging with laboratory staff to develop written procedures for instrument and equipment use, and work with compliance and training staff to ensure that internal standards are met.

What are you going to do 

  • Adapt technical user manuals into written procedure for use within laboratory using defined templates.
  • Modernize existing procedures into required templates.
  • Manage the writing and completion of documents and other assigned tasks within established timeline.
  • Manage document review, comment resolution and approval.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for document management and document revision.
  • Perform all job functions in compliance with internal standards.
  • Coordinate with training and laboratory staff to assign training content.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelors in life sciences (e.g. biological sciences, chemistry, or other biotechnical sciences).
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing.
    • 3+ years of experience in technical writing related to laboratory instrumentation and equipment (asset).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances or new information.
  • Laboratory instrument/equipment experience or review
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to learn instrument systems and laboratory workflows.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel.
  • Experience in working with authoring tools.
