Introduction
Brunel is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to work for a leading food commodity provider in Guyana.
The candidate will be responsible for leading the financial architecture expanding operations across the Caribbean and North America.
What are you going to do
- Lead financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting across all entities and projects.
- Structure and manage project financing for infrastructure and agritech ventures.
- Oversee accounting, compliance (GAAP/IFRS), tax planning, and risk mitigation.
- Drive fundraising efforts: equity, debt, blended finance, and government incentives.
- Lead capital stack structuring for major investments including solar + cold storage assets.
- Maintain reporting compliance with local and international regulatory agencies.
- Implement ERP or cloud-based accounting systems for multi-entity operations.
- Serve as the financial liaison with partners, banks, development agencies, and family offices.
- EBITDA growth, COGS optimization, and ROIC across business units
Essential skills and knowledge
- 10+ years of experience in senior financial roles, with a minimum of 5 years as CFO or Financial
- Background in infrastructure, agriculture, logistics, or manufacturing preferred
- Proven experience with capital raising, investor relations, and debt structuring
- Knowledge of Guyanese and Caribbean accounting and tax regulations
- CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent designation strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or MFin is a plus
