Brunel saw its beginnings in Delft under the name Multec and was founded by Jan Brand, a young engineer in a temporary position. Jan Brand had a vision for the future of temporary work, and he pioneered in the industry to build a global recruitment force. Since then, Brunel's grown into a trusted search partner across five continents, with over 12,000 professionals on assignment worldwide and hiring and workforce solutions that offer more than just temporary staffing.

In 1995, what was once a boutique engineering staffing firm had taken off and become a full-fledged agency with a new office in Houston, Texas. A year later, that office had given way to the establishment of other hubs in Canada, and later expanded into South America.
