What are you going to do 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support the Site Supervisor team, Commissioning teams, and Construction teams to ensure that electrical design engineering activities are executed as intended, following company guidelines and standards.
  • Responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the FPSO project specifications. Ensure that the installation of equipment complies with international codes, company specifications, and industry standards and regulations.
  • Serve as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design, procurement, and manufacture of the Electrical System Package.
  • Collaborate with Site Supervisors, Engineers, and Designers both within and outside the discipline to produce quality work and safeguard the company’s interests.
  • Manage effective interface management and ensure changes are properly managed.

Issues to cover in the assignment as Engineer: In order to achieve effective interface management and ensure changes are managed.

  • Ensure proper communication with internal and external clients to keep all parties promptly informed of project developments.
  • Proactively track changes to minimize additional costs and project delays.
  • Document all deviations to the scope to provide accurate adjustments to the project completion date for related changes.
  • Understand and monitor all interfaces with Class Society and clients to ensure requirements are properly addressed, and relevant documents are reviewed.
  • Manage interfaces with package vendors, subcontractors, and third-party consultants, ensuring timely and thorough review of relevant documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
  • Project Experience in Floating Production, Storage & Offloading (FPSO) vessels.
  • Overall minimum 8 - 10 years of relevant experience with prior experience in power system engineering with a strong emphasis on design and integration, including:
  • Design, engineering, and integration of various electrical systems.
  • Power systems and propulsion design.
  • Electric propulsion.
  • Safety and emergency systems design.
  • Electrical design, including high and low voltage systems.
  • Systems and supplier selection for complete electrical scope.
  • Navigation systems design and system selection.
  • Automation systems design and system selection.
  • Generators and high voltage motors.
  • Main switchboards with transformers and distribution.
  • Emergency and auxiliary generators and systems.
  • Emergency and auxiliary switchboards.
