Introduction

What are you going to do 

  • Oversee/manage all underground construction works across site operations.
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture while upholding high quality and environmental standards.
  • Liase with engineers, PMs, and subcontractors to manage tight schedules and shifting priorities.
  • Lead and motivate crews across multiple disciplines to deliver results on time and to spec.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes and stay ahead of risks with practical, proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor costs, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and within budget.
  • Maintain clear, consistent comms with internal teams, on-site personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders to keep everyone aligned.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field.
  • 15-20 years of hands-on experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects, with solid exposure to underground works, tunnelling, or similar heavy construction environments.
  • 7+ years experience in a Construction Management or similair position.
  • Proven track record of leading large teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience managing contracts and project budgets.
  • Execllent communication and written skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
  • Commited to ensuring saftey, quality and environmental standards are met.
