Introduction

Brunel are partnered with a leading oil & gas operator to source an experienced Application Engineer for a 12 month contract opportunity. Ideally suited to someone that has a proven record of working in the hydrocarbon accounting domain within the oil/gas industry, and someone with highly collaborative skills partnering with business stakeholders

What are you going to do

The Application Engineer is responsible for providing end to end application stewardship and technical leadership in a defined Integration Production Management (hydrocarbon accounting and management) space. The role acts as the primary conduit between business stakeholders, digital delivery teams, and managed service providers, ensuring applications and solutions are fit for purpose, operationally sustainable, and aligned to business priorities.
The role requires deep domain knowledge, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate business needs into technically viable solutions while managing operational risk and delivery outcomes.

This role does not have accountability to execute technical changes in the systems. It is a brokering role between business partners and IT support/delivery organizations, giving you ownership of how surface applications enable the business end to end from shaping solutions, to guiding delivery, to ensuring they actually work in live operations.
