Introduction

We're seeking a motivated Site Technician to join a high performing team based in Mt Isa, where you'll be working hands on servicing power generation equipment on site. This is an exciting opportunity for mechanically minded professionals to apply their skills in a field-based role with full training and development support provided.

About this role

Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on power generation systems including diesel and gas generators, engines, and auxiliary components.
Troubleshoot technical faults and implement solutions to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections on-site and in the field.
Maintain accurate service reports and records of repairs, parts, and equipment history.
Adhere to strict safety procedures and industry standards while working in varied site conditions.
Collaborate with support teams and share insights to improve overall service delivery.

Is this you?

Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter or similar mechanical background.
Solid mechanical aptitude with a willingness to develop knowledge in power generation systems.
Ability to work independently on remote sites, sometimes under time pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A safety first mindset and proactive approach to work.
