Brunel are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our client on a 12-month contract.

About this role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join a major projects team, driving key infrastructure work packages in support of decarbonisation initiatives. This role will be instrumental in delivering sustainable energy solutions across mining operations.

  • Oversee the delivery of critical infrastructure packages, including:
  • Site power distribution networks
  • Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) charging facilities
  • Battery charging infrastructure for light and specialist mobile equipment
  • Electrification of fixed infrastructure assets
  • Prepare and review contract tender documentation
  • Provide technical assurance and review of engineering and construction packages
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and consultants
  • Drive schedule improvements while ensuring safe and efficient project delivery
  • Identify cost-effective solutions to optimize project capital intensity
  • Deliver strategic reporting on project performance and key milestones
  • Ensure engineering designs and specifications are implemented effectively

Is this you?

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven track record in delivering large, multidisciplinary project packages
  • Strong technical background in power distribution networks and LV systems
  • Experience managing design consultants and construction contractors
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive, results-driven, and adaptable in dynamic project environments
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience in the mining industry is highly regarded
