As the Biomanufacturing Trainer, you will be responsible for assisting in the start-up of the training facility, adapt and delivery training material, hosting tours of the training facility, operating and maintaining the pilot plant facility and laboratory equipment. This role will be reporting to the Site Manager. This is a permanent, in-office opportunity available immediately. The Biomanufacturing Trainer you will be responsible for: Start-Up of the new training facility in Richmond, BC. Equipment preparation for practical training. Document and training workflow preparation for training courses Day-to-day operation and maintenance of pilot plant facilities and laboratory equipment within the pilot-scale training facility, including ensuring occupational health and safety are up to standard. Hosting tours of pilot production plant and attend business development meetings with prospective clients. Adaptation, development, and delivery of training material including lectures and practical content in biopharmaceutical processing operations. Support company objectives to provide a standardized training experience across all company sites across Canada. Travel within Canada to support other company training centres across Canada, represented up to 10% of time. Relevant education in life sciences, preferably in biotechnology. Master's degree in a relevant field (equivalent work experience can be considered). Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in bioprocessing manufacturing operations is required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and presentation-style communications skills. Previous management/team lead experience is a major asset. Knowledge of adult learning theory and/or teaching experience would be considered an asset. Experience delivering biopharmaceutical and/or bioprocessing related training would be considered an asset. Experience with biopharmaceutical facility design and construction would be considered an asset. Knowledge of or experience with digital training development would be considered an asset. Experience with the sourcing, purchasing and installation of biopharmaceutical processing equipment would be considered an asset. What We Offer Why apply through Brunel? Relevant education in life sciences, preferably in biotechnology. Master's degree in a relevant field (equivalent work experience can be considered).
