Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Well Test Operator to oversee and coordinate surface well test operations, ensuring accurate reporting, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance. The role involves supervising personnel, managing multiple well sites, and providing technical support to clients. This is a 4 -6 month contract. What are you going to do 

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating operation of Surface Well Test equipment, including detailed reporting of surface and downhole conditions to the operator and client management. Responsible for supervising/operating equipment and services required to achieve the successful outcome of the operation as well as delegating these responsibilities as required.

  • Provide technical support to customer representatives where necessary
  • Interpret complex P&IDs relating to Well Test installations
  • Monitor maintenance programs for field equipment
  • Able to operate all equipment including the test separator correctly, confidently and independently
  • Able to oversee full package test operations including slickline/wireline services
  • Field training of Well Test personnel
  • Ensure high levels of performance from supervised crew
  • Supervision of operators and delegation of required tasks to the operators
  • Plan, organise and direct personnel across a number of different well sites when required
  • Communicate to management about delays or issues occurring out in the field whilst managing the issue onsite
  • Accurate reporting of surface and down-hole test data, ensuring that all data collected is relevant and accurate
  • Communicate to the customer other relevant information that they may require to achieve a successful operation

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Experience in Well Testing
  • Oilfield Well site services (extensive experience in oil field preferred) with strong multi-skill experience in well test service or offshore, testing and early production systems.
  • Experience in a related or lower level supervisory role.
  • Well site Permit to Work Holder and Authority training.
  • Senior First Aid, 4WD, CV Crane - advantageous.
  • Advanced Well Test training - advantageous.
  • Able to interpret complex P&IDs relating to Well Test installations.
  • Adept in planning and organisation of personnel across multiple well sites.
  • Able to oversee full package test operations inc slickline/wireline services.
  • Computer experience (word processing, spreadsheet software and e-mail).
