Introduction

Brunel is seeking a Training Simulator Project Manager for our major mining client. The candidate will be responsible for the management, delivery and development of the Training Simulators Program which will support the onboarding of the new Operations Workforce.

What are you going to do 

  • Coordinate and deliver the design, development, testing, delivery and updating of Simulators in conjunction with the Operational Training requirements through liaising with both the vendor and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Establish a clear project plan including project milestones, cost forecasting, and identification of potential risks and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure the consistency of the simulator program aligns with Standard Operating Procedures, Mining Regulations and OH&S requirements, including ongoing review and advice on content and adherence to corporate policies and controls.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Candidate has a strong portfolio of project management experience (either in mining or technology) showcases their skills, creativity and experience.
  • Ability to be a team player that uses initiative and works well in a deadline driven environment.
  • Eager to learn about equipment and mining (if no previous experience) to support the team in projects and acquire new knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to time manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • EIT or Technology background or equivalent work experience
