Introduction

  • Manages the coordination of Offplot FEED Phase of the Project including engineering, procurement and construction activities across the internal project team functions to ensure full cross team and project integration of activities; Supports reporting and management of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides support and assistance to the Sr. Project Manager (Offplot) for activities associated to reporting, including but not limited to: PMT weekly report and actions list, actions list from weekly and monthly meetings with Contractor, preparation of inputs, PowerPoint presentations for Steering Committee, Technical Committee and Tender Committee.
  • Focal point to the Team for Decision Records, Technical Notes, Positions Papers.
  • Manages completion of LNG Project Management System requirements.
  • Supports change and risk management processes and manages various project action registers to ensure completion of critical activities.
  • Supports the management of a large expansion of an Operating Products Storage and Loading Facility and ensures execution of the FEED is completed within approved project parameters including safety, quality, cost and schedule in order to meet Project objectives.
  • Coordinates across multiple ongoing Major Projects, to ensure alignment in FEED design and execution.
  • Coordinates pooled, functional resources to provide oversight of FEED contractor activities and ensure completion of Company responsibilities to achieve project objectives.
  • Engages and manages multiple stakeholders and shareholders to maintain alignment with project objectives through project execution.
  • Working in a highly technical and challenging project management environment, provide knowledge, advice, and technical support to Project Manager (Dredging & Port) Offplot, demonstrating an understanding of the requirements of contract and effectively execute activities related to modifications, improvements, and alterations within the scope of the OffPlot project.
  • During the FEED phase provides, reviews and coordinates change orders management to final resolution, challenging the team and the FEED Contractor, as applicable and providing clear reporting to Project Manager (Dredging & Port) Offplot.
  • Major challenges of the role include (i) effectively analyzing information in order to prioritize tasks as required to meet FEED execution schedule and key milestones in a high-pressure environment and (ii) demonstrating full commitment, capacity to take workload and provide accurate reporting to the Project Management, focusing on priorities and areas of risks.

What are you going to do 

  • Provides Project Management support to the Sr. Project Manager (Offplot) as specified in the Job purpose section.
  • Develops presentations and manages the various Stakeholders and Shareholder(s) as directed by the Sr. Project Manager (Offplot).
  • On behalf of the Sr. Project Manager (Offplot), leads the coordination across the functions within the Offplot Project Team to maintain team alignment and collaboration.
  • Ensures communication of key project information within the extended project team.
  • Leads the coordination to ensure alignment between the various members of the Project Teams, providing information and resolving misalignment as required.
  • Monitors interface agreement performance, highlighting and intervening in critical and underperforming interfaces to avoid any impacts to execution.
  • Monitors project performance, KPIs and exception reports to identify critical issues in support of overall project management.
  • Supports resolution through coordination with the respective functional managers to identify mitigation options and contingency plans.
  • Coordinates and manages various action registers to ensure completion of tasks.
  • Coordinates with the Business team the change management process driving change orders to final resolution and providing clear line of sight.
  • Active support role in Risk Management Program identifying risks and defining and tracking mitigations actions through relevant disciplines/functions.
  • Maintains compliance with the LNG Project Management System (PMS) by managing the completion of the required PMS deliverables, coordinating and scheduling the Gate Reviews, and tracking all findings and observations to closure in accordance with requirements.
  • With support from the Sr. Project Manager (Offplot), monitors the completion of FEED deliverables. Holds periodic status reviews and highlights areas of concern for prompt resolution.
  • Actively participates in next phases of project execution including design, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up to ensure a smooth hand-over to the end user.
  • Aid the Sr. Project Manager (Offplot) for the preparation of the Transition Registers for the next phase of the project.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Six (6) years of experience in a FEED execution related environment within the oil and gas industry with knowledge of project management, engineering including cost control, work planning and activity scheduling.
  • Experience on large brownfield projects including understanding of the Dredging, Tunneling works with FEED Contracts and execution teams
  • Prior experience in Qatar or the Middle East preferred
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office and technical applications.
