Introduction

Our O&G client are looking for a Shutdown Completions Lead for an upcoming major shutdown across their facilities. This will be a 12 month contract and based in Perth with travel to onshore and offshore facilities

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain and administer Completion and Handover Systems
  • Manage a team of varying experience and discipline to safely coordinate all completions activities including Work Pack management, QA Documentation Review, Execution confirmation, SAP closure.
  • Mentor and Train others to ensure knowledge and experience is disseminated and retained in Company.
  • Ensure all requirements outlined in Completions and Handover procedures are fulfilled, documented, and accessible.
  • Support the systemization of facilities to enable an effective and efficient start-up, proactively identifying risks and addressing any process misalignments.
  • Confirm evidence and sign-off requirements in advance of major shutdown events to support seamless project execution.
  • Develop Fishbone diagrams to consolidate and visualize the relationships between schedules, operational procedures, and isolation processes.
  • Collaborate with planners to integrate completions principles into Work Orders and Work Packs, verifying correct milestone assignments and alignment with isolation and permitting processes.
  • Establish completions databases for facilities to ensure comprehensive tracking and management.
  • Oversee the printing and distribution of all shutdown-related Work Packs.
  • Confirm that shutdown schedules accurately reflect completions durations and logic, and ensure that completions teams are appropriately resourced.
  • Coordinate the onboarding and integration of existing personnel into the Completions Team to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Oversee the integrity and efficient management of Punch List activities.
  • Define and deliver clear, concise reporting on completions progress and system handover milestones.
  • Maintain the accuracy and system alignment of the Joint Register.
  • Coordinate the compilation of evidence and manage the sign-off process for Milestone Certificates.
  • Manage the post-event close-out process for SAP Work Orders, ensuring completion and compliance.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in similar role and knowledge of onshore/offshore oil and gas environment specifically related to pre-commissioning, commissioning and handovers.
  • Experience associated with the implementation of a completions system on previous shutdowns.
  • Experience in large Database management and reporting.
  • Bachelors Degree or Masters degree (Desirable)
  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
