Introduction

  • This is a technical leadership and architectural role that liaisons between the S/4HANA project team, the functional / Technical members of the Systems Implementation team, the existing SAP

    ECC team and the global SAP Support team for both in-house as well as partner-delivered services of the project, while reporting to the Program Lead.

  • Reporting to the S/4 HANA Program Lead, this technical leadership role liaisons between the project team, The functional / technical members of the Systems Implementation team, the existing SAP ECC team and the global SAP Support team for both in-house as well as partner-delivered services of the Project.
    • Retain the “big picture” view of the solution to ensure the overall design “technically works" from an SAP standpoint.
    • Proactively and holistically plan, manage and control all the technical-related activities to ensure that requirements are met (this could include changes related 3rd party solutions).
    • Managing relationships with Functional Solution Specialists and SI partner technical architects/developers/Basis-GRC-Authorization team members and SAP focals.
    • Be a primary problem-solver, working across multiple complex customer requirements.
  • The S/4HANATechnical Architect will also be responsible for setting standards, while ensuring that best practices and coding standards are followed in all technical deliverables. The role will also work on shaping SAP architectural design and providing architectural quality assurance across the SAP projects under the Program. The role is expected to take a consistently proactive approach to Basis-related administration tasks and authorizations as well as in developing technical solutions, working closely with SAP and our partners on relevant enhancements.

What are you going to do 

  • Analyze and gather functional requirements and perform the required research & investigation to identify, create and execute technical architectural landscapes that outline technical solutions to achieve complex functional objectives.
  • Ability to translate complex SAP functional requirements into clear and concise technical solutions.
  • Assist the S/4HANA Program Lead and the Functional Integration Architect in identifying and aligning with multifarious SAP products and technologies that can be employed for technical development.
  • Define, Design and Deliver SAP Architectural design with a thorough understanding of enterprise technology framework.
  • Prepare as well as evaluate efforts and cost estimates for SAP technical deliverables encompassing New Changes, Implementation Change Requests, Professional services and so

    on, encompassing activities including but not limited to migration, upgrades, training, implementations, workshops and so on by reviewing & studying functional specifications,

    architectural diagrams, fit gap documents, Designs etc.

  • Develop overall solutions, including but not limited to high-level technical design, technical architecture, System landscapes and relevant Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Extensively coordinate with Architects, Leads, internal & external functional / technical team

    members, solution specialists from SAP as well as other partners in driving forward customization requirements.

  • Management of SAP Technical requirements, including any support (review / creation / quality check) of the Code as well as the development of project documentation (architecture maps,

    plans, TDS, test scripts).

  • Analyze new developments (WRICEF list) for having aligned them as close as possible to standard SAP.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables from SI partners and 3rd parties.
  • Provide technical expertise for integration between SAP solutions and legacy business systems, while documenting relevant risks as well as challenges and developing mitigative actions to resolve them.
  • As the Technical & Process expert, work with business analysts, developers and deployment teams to lead the development, upgrade and maintenance of custom components and WRICEF

    within ABAP / Fiori / SCP / BTP, reporting & analytics within SAP S/4HANA (SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud), Manage Basis as well as security roles & authorizations within the SAP

    S/4HANA Cloud environment and Oversee the SAP S/4HANA Cloud environments’

    administration, and their integration into the Business Operation Solution ecosystem.

  • Hands-on technical involvement in transforming functional requirements into technical code for developing, testing and debugging code, aided by extensive, prior working experience on ABAP (WRICEF), Fiori / UI5 Objects, OOABAP, IDOC, ODATA and ABAP new syntax, with a base functional knowledge in core SAP modules, preferably FICO, MM, PS, PM, QM and EWM.
  • Provide guidance and leadership for all integrations using various CPI adapters and components, including ODATA, SFTP, FTP, IDOC, RFC/BAPI, SOAP, HTTP, REST, JDBC, XI Proxy Adapters

    etc.

  • Ensure aligned and coordinated cutover and go-live activities across all techno-functional streams.
  • Analyze the impact of SAP release updates on other technologies within the organization’s ecosystem, while defining and implementing the necessary adaptation of either S/4HANA Public Cloud environments or S/4HANA Cloud security and authorization concepts.
  • Handle tasks including problem resolution, request fulfillment, configuration changes and implementation support, while creating/maintaining appropriate documentation, training and

    communication around new features and process changes.

  • Identify approaches for new processes and recommend improvements to automate or simplify Existing processes or proposing better alternatives, perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions and possess ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables.
  • Contribute to solution effectiveness by identifying short-term as well as long-term issues that must be addressed with tangible deliverables by providing information, solutions, commentary,

    recommendations, courses of action and directives.

  • Maintain and acquire advanced level technical certification in assigned areas and maintain Professional and technical knowledge by attending as well as conducting educations workshops, seminars & roadshows, reviewing professional & technical publications/blogs and participating in SAP-related forums & societies.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • University degree (preferably in the field of Information Technology) and/or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 10+ years or equivalent hands-on experience knowledge of SAP architecture design, SAP best Hands-on experience in SAP Delivery and migrations and Development of SAP Cloud Platform

    S/4HANA, SAP Datasphere), authorization environment / integration technologies including deep understanding of Application development methodology, preferably in an onsite-offshore model.

  • Possess an advanced level of SAP technical knowledge well as strong exposure to multiple SAP Functional SCP/ SAP Cloud Platform (side by side extensions), ABAP Core Data Services), AMDP, BADIs, BAPIs, services, APIs.
  • Hands-on experience of data migration cockpit in.
  • Experience in WSDL, JSON, XML, XSD, Webservice.
  • Knowledge in using SAP Solman / ALM and Managing.
  • Expertise in on-premise, private cloud and public in SAP, with at least 5 years in S/4HANA, with good practice, Cloud technologies and SAP Ecosystem. end-to-end implementations, SAP cloud deployments, solution / BTP, reporting and analytics (SAP concepts (business roles, catalogs, restrictions), and CPI and API management tools.
