Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Oversee and manage all costs related to construction and commissioning activities of FPSO projects, ensuring alignment with project budgets and financial objectives.
- Contract Administration: Interpret and administer contract terms, conditions, and obligations to ensure compliance and protect project margins.
- Measurement and Valuation: Conduct accurate quantity take-offs, measurements, and valuations of work completed, ensuring adherence to the "Method of Measurement" and project specifications.
- Change Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage variations or changes in project scope, coordinating with relevant teams to assess cost implications and negotiate adjustments as necessary.
- Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement process by preparing bills of quantities, evaluating subcontractor bids, and contributing to supplier negotiations to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Risk Assessment: Analyze potential risks related to cost and contracts, proposing mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure during construction and commissioning phases.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on project financial performance, including cost forecasts, budget comparisons, and expenditure tracking, providing insights to project management for informed decision-making.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, construction, planning, and quality teams to ensure cohesive project execution and address any quantity surveying-related issues promptly.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all quantity surveying activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and relevant legal requirements, maintaining high levels of integrity and transparency.
- Final Account Settlement: Lead the preparation and agreement of final accounts with contractors and clients, ensuring all financial matters are concluded accurately and satisfactorily.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in FPSO construction and commissioning projects.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.Strong understanding of construction contracts, methods of measurement, and cost control mechanisms.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulae. - Soft Skills:Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This role is crucial in ensuring that construction and commissioning phases of FPSO projects are executed within budget, on time, and in compliance with contractual agreements, contributing to the overall success of the project.
