Introduction

We are currently hiring a Mine Site and Infrastructure Project Manager for our mining client. The Project Manager will be responsible for all the mine and mine-feature related aspects of the closure. This is a full-time permanent opportunity.

What are you going to do 

  • Lead the feasibility study for closure plan engineering for mine site, planning and preparing U/G mine and surface infrastructure for closure, development of site plan for closure readiness (security, open pit fence, required closure infrastructure) finalizing optimized plan for waste rock and water treatment, ensuring necessary studies and work on crown pillars have been conducted.
  • Responsible for execution of closure early works construction and mine site progressive rehabilitation projects as identified by closure studies.
  • Work with project controller to ensure scope, schedule, and budget for areas of responsibility are up to date, accurate, and complete.
  • Primary accountable for ensuring closure permitting is timely achieved that aligns with our clients standards, ICMM framework, and aligned with Closed Sites Team.
  • Ensure mine site make safe and divestiture plans are completed and key elements of plan from SME's are appropriately documented ahead of closure.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Professional Engineer or equivalent mining industry experience
  • 10+ years mine projects (concept, pre-feasibility, and feasibility)
  • Experience in financial and cost modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a varied workload in a fast-paced environment while leading teams to achieve deadlines
  • Good oral and written communication skills
