As an R&D Software Lead Engineer, you'll take the lead in designing and developing embedded software for groundbreaking vehicles that move both on the road and in the air. You'll translate vision into reality by turning complex system requirements into robust, safe, and high-performance software. What are you going to do 

Lead embedded software development. Translate system and component requirements into solid software architectures and designs. Develop embedded software in C/C++ (bare metal or RTOS-based), including specification, integration, and verification activities.

Provide technical leadership. Guide software activities within the Electrical Systems team, mentor junior and medior engineers, and coordinate with external partners. You'll lead design reviews and ensure technical excellence across all software domains.

Ensure testing and validation. Create and implement test strategies and verification plans. Support debugging and root cause analysis while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards such as ISO 26262 or DO-178C.

Drive process improvement. Identify and implement improvements in development processes, tools, and methodologies. Contribute to advancing the embedded software platform and aligning development with certification frameworks.

Promote safety and compliance. Work according to applicable safety standards and proactively address software-related security risks. Ensure a culture of safe and high-quality development through clean code and thorough documentation.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • At least a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in embedded software development, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or another high-tech industry.
  • Proven expertise in embedded C/C++, real-time systems, software architecture, and debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, or DO-178C.
