Introduction

  • The Commissioning Electrical Lead is responsible for managing the electrical commissioning

    activities of the Offshore project and ensuring that all objectives are achieved safely within the

    approved scope and schedule.

  • Managing all Commissioning activities related to the electrical scope.
  • The role requires effective communication, initiative and the ability to foster collaboration.
  • Ensure that technical objectives are safely achieved within the approved scope, cost, and schedule.

What are you going to do 

  • Manage the execution of all electrical commissioning activities to achieve the commissioning

    schedule on target with all safety requirements especially during SIMOPS.

  • Lead execution for electrical commissioning at site (onshore and offshore) and keep

    commissioning execution committed to targets defined by the project management.

  • Monitor the Contractor’s electrical commissioning activities ensuring adherence to the

    commissioning methodology and proper use of the system database.

  • Interface with various project teams and departments to resolve related issues through effective

    communication, initiative, flexibility and the ability to induce collaboration.

  • Ensure readiness of the commissioning spare parts and special tools required for electrical

    packages.

  • Apply all relevant safety and cybersecurity procedures during electrical commissioning activities

    (1st energization, LOTO, PTW, JSA).

  • Maintain the lessons learned register for the electrical scope.
  • Manage system completion, walkdowns, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for electrical

    systems.

  • Ensure the smooth integration of electrical systems of different platforms with the onshore (HV

    substation).

  • Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals for electrical systems.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences or engineering.
  • 8 years’ experience with large project in Oil and Gas industry, including 1 year of experience in a

    supervisory role, including acting roles or oversight of service/vendor personnel.

  • Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures.
  • Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards, and

    contract technical specification compliance.

  • Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation,

    control systems, top sides, etc.

  • Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface,

    etc.

  • Knowledge in projects execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning

    and systems completion.

  • Experience in managing commissioning execution and performing OTPs of all electrical facilities

    such UPS, normal and emergency power distribution, subsea cable and umbilical and

    transformers.

  • Experienced in commissioning high voltage systems such as VSR and subsea power cable.
  • Familiar with LOTO procedures and electrical codes and standards.
  • Experience of handling EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of

    Industry standards.

  • Conversant with ATEX/IEC regulations.
