Introduction

Brunel International is currently seeking a skilled Fitter/ Technician with strong knowledge of Ancillary Maintenaince for a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) position to Papua New Guinea (PNG). What are you going to do 

As a Maintenance Fitter/ Technician at Brunel International, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Cranes, Forklifts, EWPs, Bobcats, Welders, and Air Compressors on-site in a gold mine in PNG. You will work closely with a team of mobile maintenance professionals to ensure that all machinery is operating efficiently and safely. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

Essential skills and knowledge 

List of Requirements

  • Certificate III in Heavy Automotive Mechanical Technology (Diesel Fitting) or equivalent
  • Previous experience working as a Diesel Fitter in a mining or construction environment
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills for diesel engines and equipment
  • Highly motivated and flexible individual
  • Must have a very broad skill set, especially with auto electrics and hydraulics.
  • Ability to work in a remote location on a FIFO roster
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment at all times
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and police checks
