Brunel International N.V. is excited to announce its acquisition of Singapore-based technical services company International Commissioning & Engineering Pte Ltd (ICE). By combining ICE’s specialist project assurance, execution & delivery expertise with Brunel’s existing global recruitment, workforce and mobilisation services, the organisation plans to offer a unique fusion of the two capabilities.
Established in 2007, ICE is a Project Risk Assurance and Commissioning & Start-Up company which specializes in the coordination and delivery of large-scale Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Energy projects. Headquartered in Singapore, ICE’s management services span the complete project lifecycle, providing effective oversight and assurance across all phases from initial assessment through to construction, commissioning and operation.
“Combining Brunel and ICE’s respective business strengths, experience and knowledge will allow our clients to confidently outsource a far broader package of project work than is possible with any other service provider. From assessment through to operation phases, Brunel and ICE will ensure the quality and efficiency of projects while simultaneously handling the complete spectrum of manning needs; seamlessly engaging and managing the best people needed to execute each phase of a project.”
“We are pleased to be entering this new partnership with Brunel, which has come after a long working relationship between the two companies. Collectively, Brunel and ICE will be capable of not only providing the best people and skills, but also a project assurance and delivery model which will provide additional value to the Oil & Gas, Energy and Infrastructure projects that we are involved with.
The combination of the two companies has the potential to change the way we execute projects and unlocks the potential for increased value creation and savings through an optimized delivery and execution framework that encompasses all project facets. This partnership will be game changing.”
“For Brunel, joining forces with ICE is the latest milestone in an ongoing strategy to develop innovative new service offerings by pairing our company’s existing people, workforce and mobilisation expertise with other highly-developed skill and service niches through targeted acquisitions – much like Brunel’s purchase of specialist renewable energy recruitment firm Taylor Hopkinson in late 2021.
I am very excited to see to how pairing ICE with Brunel will transform the way we deliver major projects – in particular, how ICE’s 'from concept to completion' approach will fuel Brunel’s ongoing mission of “connecting specialists to pioneering projects.”
In addition to Brunel and ICE's respective 45 and 15 years of successful operation in their fields, the two organisations have also proven their collaborative strength on combined projects. In 2021 Brunel and ICE collaborated to deliver the commissioning of a greenfield synthesised chemical plant in Tuas, Singapore.
