Für einen führenden Kunden aus der Luft- und Raumfahrtbranche suchen wir einen Senior FPGA Engineer (VHDL) (w/m/d). In dieser Rolle entwickeln Sie anspruchsvolle FPGA‑Firmware für komplexe Embedded‑Systeme und gestalten modernste Elektronikarchitekturen maßgeblich mit.

What are you going to do 

  • Entwicklung, Implementierung und Optimierung von FPGA‑Firmware in VHDL für komplexe Embedded‑Systeme
  • Nutzung moderner Xilinx‑Toolchains (Vivado, ISE) inklusive IP‑Integration und Constraint‑Management
  • Durchführung von Simulationen und Verifikationen mittels gängiger Tools wie ModelSim oder QuestaSim
  • Erstellung von Testbenches sowie Aufbau automatisierter Testumgebungen zur Sicherstellung der Designqualität
  • Analyse, Debugging und Validierung von FPGA‑Designs auf Hardware, z. B. mit Logic Analyzer oder Chipscope
  • Integration der FPGA‑Firmware in bestehende Systemarchitekturen und enge Zusammenarbeit mit Hardware‑ und Softwareteams
  • Unterstützung bei der Auslegung von Hardware‑Architekturen und der Entwicklung systemweiter Designkonzepte
  • Dokumentation von Entwicklungsprozessen, Ergebnissen und Best Practices zur Sicherstellung langfristiger Nachvollziehbarkeit
  • Mitarbeit an der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung von Entwicklungsprozessen, Toolchains und Methoden im FPGA‑Umfeld

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik, Luft‑ und Raumfahrttechnik oder eine vergleichbare technische Qualifikation
  • Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in der Firmware- und FPGA-Eentwicklung
  • Verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse (C1) und gute Englischkenntnisse (B2)
