The primary focus of the role is the inspection of Rotary Shoulder Connections. While the specific thread elements and inspection requirements can be taught, candidates must already have a sound understanding of precision measuring equipment and be confident using tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers and depth micrometers. You will be responsible for accurately reading measurements, applying good measurement practices, verifying products against engineering drawings and specifications, and ensuring quality requirements are met before product release. The position will also support quality documentation, non-conformance reporting, calibration control, gauge room management and continuous improvement activities across the workshop. Engineering Manager - Gas Powered Generation Sydney/Brisbane The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager - Gas Powered Generation to join their Infrastructure Engineering team on a permanent full-time basis. Based in either Brisbane or Sydney, this role will provide technical leadership across a portfolio of gas-fired generation projects, supporting development, delivery, and operational integration activities. Reporting to the Head of GPG Engineering Solutions, you will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, ensuring projects are delivered with fit-for-purpose technical solutions that meet business, customer, safety, and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead technical activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept development and feasibility through to commissioning and operational handover. Provide engineering leadership for gas-powered generation projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and technical integrity. Support project development through technology assessments, site evaluations, and technical due diligence. Manage engineering interfaces with consultants, contractors, OEMs, and key stakeholders. Oversee engineering deliverables including specifications, reports, drawings, and design documentation. Contribute technical input to commercial activities including business cases, contract negotiations, risk assessments, and vendor evaluations. Mentor and support multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve successful project outcomes. About You Degree qualified in Engineering and eligible for membership with Engineers Australia or an equivalent professional body. Heritage Field Supervisor
