Introduction

On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas industry, Brunel is presently sourcing a Finance Business Partner to support Corporate stakeholders with Finance & Cost Management activities. You will be responsble for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and business partnering to support informed decision-making and business performance. Contract up to end December 2026, based in the Perth CBD.

About this role

  • Prepare monthly accruals with scope owners to support accurate financial reporting
  • Provide timely, accurate and reliable financial report
  • Perform cost analysis and variance commentary
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting and cost management activities
  • Develop and maintain cost models including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Prepare budget and forecast presentations and submissions
  • Identify and analyse trends and deviations against budget and forecast
  • Maintain financial master data and cost objects
  • Perform ad hoc cost analysis as required
  • Support audit activities and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Development, Energy Transition, HR and Supply Chain Teams

Is this you?

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting
  • CPA, CA, CIMA or similar qualification OR presently working towards
  • Previous post-graduate experience
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
  • Confident communication and collaboration skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Adaptability to adapt to varying job requirements
  • Proficiency in SAP - FI, CO, PS modules will be advantageous
  • Exploration & Production OR Resource industry will be well received
