Introduction

We're seeking experienced Process Operators to join a leading iron ore operation in the Pilbara. This FIFO opportunity from Perth offers the chance to play a key role in maintaining safe, reliable and efficient processing operations. Working an even-time 2:2 roster, you'll enjoy a strong work-life balance, weekly pay and an initial 6-month contract with potential for extension or ongoing opportunities.

About this role

As a Process Operator, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of a large-scale mining processing facility, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability and operational performance. Working across both field and control room environments, you will monitor plant operations, identify and respond to process issues, and contribute to the overall success of the operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and operating processing plant equipment including crushers, conveyors, screens, mills, pumps and associated plant infrastructure.
  • Operating and monitoring control room systems to optimise plant performance and maintain production targets.
  • Conducting routine plant inspections, identifying equipment defects and reporting operational issues.
  • Supporting shutdown, maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
  • Performing sampling, testing and quality checks to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Troubleshooting plant upsets and identifying opportunities to improve plant efficiency and reliability.
  • Working collaboratively with maintenance and production teams to maximise plant availability.
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards and ensuring compliance with site safety and environmental procedures.
  • Contributing to a positive team culture while working safely in accordance with all site policies and procedures.

This role would suit experienced Process Operators with a strong background in mining or mineral processing environments who are committed to safety, teamwork and operational excellence.

Is this you?

  • Proven plant experience within the mining industry
  • Wet/Dry fixed plant experience (preferred)
  • Mobile plant operations experience with relevant tickets
  • System experience with SCADA, Citect, or Simplicity
  • Isolation Officer experience
  • SAP experience
  • Remote control operation of balance machines
  • Valid Driver's Licence (minimum C Class)
  • Full Australian working rights
