The Hook-Up and Commissioning Process Lead shall provide oversight and direction to the project's main contractor, sub-contractors and vendors, during the offshore hook-up and commissioning stages.
Providing technical guidance and expertise on Process principles, codes, standards and coverage for workshops, inspections and site testing.
About this role
Support by reviewing critical documents and reports generated by the main subcontractor. Attend workshops/review meetings when requested.
Analyze technical proposals and proposed deviations, assess exceptions and new technologies to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Apply lessons learned from previous projects and share new ones with others.
Support the qualifications of new suppliers proposed for the project, suppliers that are not on the approved vendor's list.
Assesses Contractor's manpower loading, providing timely recommendations to project team and be available to backfill needs as required.
Support the project team to stay on schedule to meet all critical milestones (long lead item (LLI) procurement, engineered equipment procurement; required on site (ROS) dates, etc.); develop and stewards recovery plans to address any schedule delays.
Witnesses Contractors scope of work and signs off test and check sheets as per project requirements.
Verify that the Contractor's reports are accurate with regards to progress reporting.
Cooperate with review teams and take part in quality audit activities throughout the project.
Report findings accurately and provide a plan to address issues when required.
Is this you?
Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Knowledge and experience in discipline Hook-Up and Commissioning delivery processes and associated project phases, familiar with completions walkdowns and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
In depth knowledge of Process design, risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues, ensuring deliverables are compliant with project requirements.
Knowledge of flow assurance, hydrostatic and nitrogen leak testing, hook-up and commissioning activities.
Knowledge in performance testing of gas turbine compressors to ensure design specs are met.
Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures.
Knowledge in projects execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning and systems completion.
