Provides Utilities & Offsites (desalination, waste management, steam, cooling water, IA/N2, flare and fuel gas systems) and Process Engineering knowledge, design, quality assurance, leadership and expertise for the phase of a large scale LNG facility.
Directs the preparation and stewardship of Utilities (and Process) Engineering, advices and recommends design procedures, processes, deliverables and alternative studies, as required, to optimize project delivery.
Support Construction, pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities within the facilities.
Job is predominantly Utilities and Offsites focused.
Effectively managing contractor Utilities (and Process) Engineering to deliver technical input in accordance with project requirements until delivery of Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC)
Maintaining constructive working relationship with contractor to ensure delivery of engineering work scope in accordance with project requirements and
Maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g. Operations and SHEQ) to ensure alignment on Utilities (and Process) Engineering delivery.
Provides leadership to drive decisions for multi-discipline issues to progress the execution of the project.
Responsible for overseeing delivery of all aspects of detailed design, equipment, technical and execution definition, including procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of the utility and offsite systems.
Works closely with members of engineering team and aligns with the Engineering Manager onengineering needs, objectives, and requirements.
Works closely with the start-up organization to ensure plans are aligned to ensure a smooth transition to the start-up organization.
Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with LNG Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and LNG Project Management System.
Ensures delivery full compliance with project documents and through effective collaborations and interfaces, ensures ss design considers the full production life cycle.
Responsible for knowledge of and sharing previous lessons learned, capturing and communicating current lessons learned to support review teams and future projects.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent and/or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years experience as a senior Utilities / Process engineer with a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore facilities design, construction and operations
At least 5 years experience with utility systems (desalination, waste management, steam, cooling water, IA/N2, flare and fuel gas systems) design
EPC detailed design experience with large O&G facilities
Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-Up experience highly desirable
Excellent written and oral English skills.
