Introduction

On behalf of our client, a Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Senior Quantity Surveyor supporting Commercial Management and Contract Administration across major Construction and Commissioning activities. This will be a 12 month contract, open to residential candidates residing in Perth, 2:1 roster.

What are you going to do 

  • Administer construction contracts on-site
  • Review and verify contractor labour, equipment, subcontractor and site cost records
  • Conduct open-book cost audits and verify reimbursable costs
  • Review and certify progress reporting and Quantity Manhour Reports (QMR)
  • Support progress and productivity tracking with the Planning Team
  • Assess monthly payment claims and monitor costs, forecasts and cash flow
  • Assist with contract claims and change management
  • Provide commercial advice and support to Project Teams

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering OR a related discipline
  • Previous experience administering construction contracts within Infrastructure, Mining OR Oil & Gas Projects
  • Exposure to mechanical and EIC construction works
  • Strong understanding of cost verification, auditing and contract administration
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, scopes and construction schedules
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a site-based environment
